Man Candy Mondays: Shia LaBeouf

On screen, this adorable young gent has been a Wall Street newbie, a paranoid neighbor and a robot-destroying hero, among other roles. In our minds, he's been our tough-but-kind fantasy boyfriend whom we'd love to take to a cocktail party or, you know, by the hand, running through the streets of Manhattan if the city is ever in peril and crumbling behind us. Normal stuff like that. Now, in Lawless, we'll get to see what Shia looks like in Prohibition-era attire — we're gonna take a wild guess and say that the vintage look probably suits him just fine.

Why we love him

As an actor, he might be the voice of a generation: an honest, good-looking Tom Hanks–esque everyman that we can't help but feel warm and cuddly toward, sometimes despite ourselves.

Shia LaBeouf

Born: June 11, 1986

Hometown: Los Angeles, California

Height: 5' 9 1/4"

Shia LaBeouf and Megan FoxHe's like the turbo version of the perfect boyfriend

Is it any surprise that Megan Fox was rumored to have fallen for Shia on the set of the first Transformers movie? I mean, the woman, hot as she is, is only human. Shia confirmed to Details that it's true:

"Look, you're on the set for six months, with someone who's rooting to be attracted to you, and you're rooting to be attracted to them," he explains. "I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen."

That we can! But despite whatever transpired between them, Shia considers himself relatively traditional, telling Details he's a "serial monogamist."

Us too! Coincidence? We think not.

Shia LaBeouf in TransformersWe like it when he stresses us out

Say the financial markets are collapsing , or that giant robots have threatened the Earth as we know it , or that cranky ol' Harrison Ford needs someone to help him save humanity . Who you gonna call? Well, wily, intelligent Shia LaBeouf, of course, because if worse comes to worst, he's gonna be there, with a plan in mind. Now that's the kind of hero we can get behind.

And despite taking some very commercial roles , Shia says he won't be selling out anytime soon:

"If you can mix Hilary Duff and Gary Oldman into the same actor, that's my goal."

"I could do something like sell out and make a Disney album — The Hanukkah Shia LaBeouf Special, or The Kwanzaa CD — and make a lot of money, and have a huge house and a big bed and never be able to sleep in it, because I'd hate myself," he once told the A.V. Club. "It's just what you want. Respect is more important to me than the finance of it, even though I did Transformers. You do something like that so you can do a Half Nelson and people in Japan will see it. There's a Tom Hanks element that I'm after, but with Michael Caine's longevity. If you can mix Hilary Duff and Gary Oldman into the same actor, that's my goal. I know it's strange to think about, but that's the goal."

Lizzie McGuire meets Commissioner Gordon — we like it! And, psssst, keep your eyes peeled for Oldman as a gangster when you go see Shia in Lawless. The two co-star in the film.

Shia LaBeouf leaving gymHe's a real-life bad boy

We're not advocating partying or wantonly punching anyone, but after a rough, impoverished childhood, in which his heroin-addicted father was largely absent from, LaBeouf has done his share of both. One notable fight allegedly started over a guy hounding Shia for an autograph. What does he have to say for himself?

"I would like to be George Clooney diplomatic," he told Details. "I just don't have the wherewithal yet or the inner serenity. My bulls*** meter is tuned very sensitive. The minute it starts kicking up, I get back to truth, and sometimes that involves, you know, 'I don't want to take a picture.' And if that's the case, am I an asshole for being honest? Or am I an asshole for being dishonest, smiling in your picture and I f****** hate being there? Which one is worse? These are the questions I ask myself that George Clooney doesn't ask."

Food for thought. We're curious to hear what George might say. But we confess that we're suckers for honesty, so Shia might win this round.

Shia LaBeouf and girlfriend Karolyn PhoShia LaBeouf's relationship status:

After his fling with Megan Fox, Shia dated his Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps co-star Carey Mulligan for more than a year before linking up with stylist/fashion designer Karolyn Pho. The pair is still together, but they've been photographed fighting very publicly in L.A., supposedly because Shia is slated to engage in actual sex for the upcoming Lars von Trier movie The Nymphomaniac. Yep, we said "actual sex."

“There’s a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says, ‘We’re doing it for real,’” he told MTV. “Anything that is ‘illegal’ will be shot in blurred images. But other than that, everything is happening… It’s going to be a wild movie, man. It’s going to be a wild movie.”

Sounds like it! We have to admit, we haven't been this excited to see possible actual sex since Eyes Wide Shut — let's just hope that Shia's relationship can withstand the heat.

When we were 16, all we wished for was that someone as smart and sexy as Paul Rudd would show up on our doorstep wearing a flannel shirt and confess his love to us at the top of a plush stairwell, just like he did to Alicia Silverstone in Clueless. Say it with us now: "You know you're gorgeous, all right, and popular and, uhh, and... But this isn't why I come here. This is a good learning experience for me..." Then cue the furious nodding, followed by the adorable smooch. Now, however, Paul Rudd is returning to high school in a completely different way, by playing an English teacher in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, out soon.

Our girlhood crush is grown up

Why we love him

He's gone from our very first movie star crush to a staple of our comedy consumption — and he still looks hot.

Paul Rudd

Born: April 6, 1969

Hometown: Passaic, New Jersey

Height: 5' 10"

Paul Rudd in CluelessHe's funny as all get-out

He's left '90s-cool Josh from Clueless behind and expanded his repertoire to roles that are pretty much guaranteed to make us laugh. Think: the dad who escapes to poker night in Knocked Up or dapper field reporter Brian Fantana in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy or Jennifer Aniston's recently downsized hubby in Wanderlust. Plus, he's serious about comedy, having done stints on TV shows including Reno 911!, Stella and Parks and Recreation. We're especially excited for late-2012's Judd Apatow movie This Is 40, which is being billed as "the sort-of sequel to Knocked Up." Can't wait!

But Paul still can't shake the specter of Clueless completely — for one thing, interviewers won't let him.

"I just literally hung up from doing another interview where it was primarily about Clueless. [Laughs.]" Paul told the A.V. Club last year. "The guy was asking me about, like, 'How is it being in that movie and what has that been in your life?' I was just saying that it’s really cool being in a movie that I think was a seminal movie for a lot of kids. When we were shooting it, we all hoped that [Clueless] would fall into that kind of pantheon of movies like John Hughes made, or that really struck a chord with us when we were teenagers — and that years after it was released that we all kind of felt that it had. It actually had achieved that status for a lot of people.

"We all hoped that [Clueless] would fall into that kind of pantheon of movies like John Hughes made, or that really struck a chord with us when we were teenagers..."

"What a cool thing it is to be involved in something that attains that level of importance in a lot of kids’ lives. So, keeping that in mind, I certainly don’t tire talking about that if people want to hear about it."

We're glad about that, because we're pretty sure we're going to count Clueless as one of our favorite films forever!

He's a cool dad

Paul and his wife have two little boys — Jack, 7, and Darby, 2 — and he freely admits that parenting isn't exactly easy street:

"Marriage and parenthood. It’s the hardest job you’ll ever like,” he admitted to Glamour UK. “It can be tough. It’s like, ‘Is this really the way we’re supposed to do this?’ But they’re great.”

We think everyone flies by the seat of their pants when it comes to parenting, Paul! And, true, Paul has two little boys, but if he had girls, he'd be all set too. He recently paired up with teen online fashion magazine Rookie to do an "Ask a Grown Man" video segment . And did we mention he looked smokin' hot in thick-framed preppy glasses?

One of his key pieces of advice, when he was asked by a young female reader when a boy becomes a man: "There's no line of demarcation; every person is different... I think it's getting longer and longer, the line. You just have to hope for the right one."

And then, at the end, he says "Merry Christmas" really cutely, and we almost swooned, Victorian lady–style.

"At my core, I'm a Midwesterner. It's a small-town attitude. I think that my day is better, I'm happier, when people are pleasant to each other."

He's just a really nice guy — really

Would you expect anything less than total human decency from adorable Josh? Despite being born in New Jersey, he grew up mainly in Overland Park, Kansas, and the wholesome feel of the area stuck. Here's what he told ELLE last year:

"At my core, I'm a Midwesterner. It's a small-town attitude. I think that my day is better, I'm happier, when people are pleasant to each other. I think it's so much nicer."

Agreed!

We love a guy who's willing to plug away at the important things in life!

Evening soaps have never been so sexy! TNT's revival of Dallas got a whole lot prettier when hottie Josh Henderson was cast as J.R. Ewing's devious son.

We're suckers for a beautiful face, and Josh's bone structure is like fine china -- fine, kissable china...

Why we love him

From singing rhymes to prime time, Josh has come a long way from his reality show roots -- which means more screen time for us to soak in his gorgeous features.

Josh Henderson

Born: Oct. 25, 1981

Hometown: Dallas, Texas

Height: 5' 11"

He spices up our favorite TV classics

Twenty-one years after the original melodrama-rife Dallas ended, Josh is playing John Ross Ewing III, son of legendary scurrilous oil tycoon J.R. Ewing: Big shoes to fill, that's for sure, but Josh has handled the role with aplomb :

"I felt so lucky and privileged to get this role that I was just going to do my best to create something with J.R.'s spirit," Josh told Digital Spy. "John Ross knows how to do business one way, and that's the J.R. way!"

"I'm a very kind of personable person and I love people."

Is he anything like his scheming character? Nope!: "I'm a very kind of personable person and I love people," he told TV Fanatic. "I'm actually nothing like John Ross in that kind of conniving attitude, but it makes it fun for me, because I actually get to go to work and act. If I were going to work and playing myself every day, it would be very boring. I like to see myself as someone who's a lot nicer and less trouble than John Ross. I don't see John Ross as a bad guy. I just think he's kind of a guy who's very determined and passionate and he knows what he wants and he's hopefully not going to let anyone stop him from achieving that."

He's also added his signature sizzling good looks to Desperate Housewives as banished bad boy Austin McCann and graced the modern rebooted classic 90210 . What's next for Josh? The second season of Dallas, and movies, naturally. He recently filmed the romance Rushlights, alongside Aidan Quinn and Beau Bridges.

Josh's face in a new flick on the big screen? Now that's something to look forward to...

Josh Henderson in 2000He used to be in a boy–girl band

Remember that spate of reality shows about unknowns auditioning for a pop band? Josh won a spot in music group Scene 23 on the WB's Popstars 2 back in 2001 . Did he look good then too? Um, of course -- here's the proof: the video for their first single, "I Really Don't Think So."

And he hasn't left music behind. In fact, he says his music will be featured on Dallas's second season. Nice! And if he has his way, he told DA MAN magazine, he'd love to do more singing, along with producing films:

"My goal in 10 years is to have my own production company and to be making movies that I want to make," he says. "I would also still like to be making music. Both music and acting are very big parts of my life and I would be blessed to continue to do both."

We'll buy your next album, Josh!

He respects his elders

Josh Henderson and Larry Hagman

Even though he's technically the new J.R. in town, Josh acknowledges the new Dallas's roots:

"[Starring alongside Dallas veterans is] rewarding in the sense that I don’t think you can do Dallas without them," he told Celebuzz. "They legitimize our show, they are what the original fans want to come back and see. It’s a blessing for us to be able to have them. I was a little intimidated and a little nervous. This show was such a big deal to people all over the world. I call them the legendary three; Larry [Hagman], Linda [Gray] and Patrick [Duffy]. They are what created this monster that is Dallas."

"We definitely wanted to come in as the young generation and have them kind of accept us, and hopefully they are happy to what we brought to the table. But at the end of the day, they are all such amazing people and so genuinely nice. Actually, none of us felt we were being judged; they just accepted us with open arms."

So sweet!

Josh Henderson's relationship status:

Fantastic news: He's single! Josh's most famous ex was fellow reality TV star Ashlee Simpson, whom he dated for two years, but if you're not incredibly familiar with his career, that could actually work in your favor when it comes to scoring a date with the stud:

"I want to date someone who likes who I am as a person and not what I do for a living," he recently told Us Weekly. "I understand that it kind of comes with the territory, but I try to gauge who they are as a person," he explained. "If they start asking a lot of questions about what I do, that's a bit of a red flag for me. I almost find it very attractive when a woman has no idea who I am."

"I want to date someone who likes who I am as a person and not what I do for a living."

Poised on the brink of super-stardom, Ian Somerhalder and his gorgeous baby blues are popping up in more places than ever .

From one of his first big roles as a resurrected teen in Smallville to Boone Carlyle on Lost to a ridiculously good-looking vampire in the CW's The Vampire Diaries, Ian is making his mark on the mass media — and capturing the attention of women everywhere who know a truly gorgeous man when they see one.

Why we love him

This Southern boy has come a long way from his small-town Louisiana roots, taking on major roles on several major TV series — but he's still got a heart of gold.

Ian Somerhalder

Born: Dec. 8, 1978

Hometown: Covington, Louisiana

Height: 5' 9 1/2"

The man is smoldering, to say the least

With those steely blue eyes, it's no wonder that he's a fan favorite to play the Fifty Shades of Grey title character Christian Grey in the upcoming film version of the book. Ian himself is definitely into it, telling everyone from Ryan Seacrest to Bret Easton Ellis to Chelsea Handler how much he wants the part.

"I play a 175-year-old vampire who's in love with an 18-year-old, so technically I have a lot of... I'm good with younger women," he joked to Handler on Chelsea Lately.

We'd be remiss if we didn't mention Ian's spicy full-frontal nude scenes in the HBO series Tell Me You Love Me. One romp in particular featured him and a very shapely Michelle Borth "reconnecting," so to speak. We can't link to it, but, trust us, this is something you're going to want to Google.

We're glad you're so uninhibited, Ian!

Ian Somerhalder in The Vampire Diaries

"I play a 175-year-old vampire who's in love with an 18-year-old, so... I'm good with younger women."

Ian Somerhalder in Lost

He makes already-great shows even better

Remember Lost, everyone? Ian's turn as Boone ensured that Americans everywhere would recognize his face going forward. And now, as Damon Salvatore, one of two vampire brothers on The Vampire Diaries, a whole new demographic is getting the opportunity to enjoy Ian's many talents .

"A lot of stuff that Damon goes through is super-cathartic for me."

Capturing Damon's dark side is no easy task, Ian told Collider.com: "A lot of stuff that Damon goes through is super-cathartic for me, as an individual, and it’s not always pretty. You’re muddying the water, all the time. You’re pulling from all these things in your life that are not necessarily good. It’s basically like getting paid for therapy. Instead of laying on someone’s couch and telling them about how you feel, you’re internally pulling all this stuff."

We love that he's willing to bare his soul for his art .

He loves animals and protecting the environment

Yet another reason that Ian seems too good to be true: He has a soft spot for creatures great and small and a fervent appreciation for nature. He's so committed to animal welfare and environmental issues that on his 32nd birthday in 2010, he unveiled the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, which promotes nature conservation, green technology and humane treatment of animals .

"Every year, I receive so many heart-warming gifts from all the incredible fans; this year, my only birthday wish is to create a well planet," he told Vampire-Diaries.net right before the foundation launched. "Instead of gifts, if people truly feel like giving, we hope they’ll give to the foundation. Giving me the best gift possible, a chance to make change… and to make that change alongside fans, amazing."

Ian Somerhalder's relationship status:

Workplace romance alert! Ian has been dating his The Vampire Diaries co-star Nina Dobrev, 23, since 2010. Her positive attitude might have something to do with what attracted him to her in the first place:

"Her desire to experience and appreciate everything around her, and chuckle and enjoy it, is great," he told Us Weekly.

Perhaps dating this younger woman will also prepare him for Fifty Shades of Grey... We have our fingers crossed for you, Ian!

Like every red-blooded, hottie-appreciating woman in the United States, we couldn't wait to see the movie Magic Mike in theaters this past summer.

When we finally got there, we were blown away — by the sexy gyrating, sure, but mainly by Matt Bomer, the first-rate cutie in the role of dancer Ken . The public now knows Matt by name — we just wish he knew ours too.

Why we love him

This strapping, Texas-born, fine specimen of a man is on top of our hot list right now — and his mama raised him right, because we dig this guy's inner and outer qualities.

Matt Bomer

Born: Oct. 11, 1977

Hometown: Spring, Texas

Height: 5' 11 1/2"

He's honest about who he is

OK, so Bomer doesn't play for our team, so to speak, but we love that he hasn't denied his sexuality — in fact, just lately, he's fully embraced it.

"I never really endeavored to hide anything," he told E! Online. "But there were times I chose not to relegate my history to the back page of a magazine, which to me is sort of akin to putting your biography on a bathroom wall... I had somebody from the military approach me a few weeks ago just saying how this helps people, affects people. It brought me to tears."

Matt Bomer at 8 reading

"I had somebody from the military approach me a few weeks ago just saying how this helps people, affects people. It brought me to tears."

But identifying Matt as a "gay actor" is exactly what he doesn't want us to do:

"What we really have to do is stop the adjective before the job title — whether it's 'black actor,' a 'gay actor' or 'anything actor,'" Bomer says. "Everybody thinks that equality comes from identifying people, and that's not where equality comes from. Equality comes from treating everybody the same regardless of who they are. I hope the media and the press catches on to that because it's time to move out of 1992."

Well said, Matt!

He was wicked sexy in Magic Mike

Matt sprung from a largely TV-centric background fully formed onto the Magic Mike movie screen — and we are so glad he did. So imagine our surprise when we heard he initially thought his being cast was a mistake!

"When they called me, I thought, 'Do they have the wrong number? Did they mean to call the guy from Vampire Diaries?'" Bomer told E! Online. "And at the time I was really skinny, so I think there may have been a five-minute window from when I hung up the phone to when I went to the gym."

His sheer hotness has crossed sexuality lines again and again, with die-hard Bomer fans gunning for him to play Christian Grey in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie.

We don't care what Bret Easton Ellis says: We love the idea!

Matt Bomer with family

He's a family man

Bomer has three little munchkins to chase him around: oldest son Kit and twin boys Walker and Henry.

This past February, when he accepted a Steve Chase Humanitarian Award for his work raising money for AIDS charities, he said this:

"I'd really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry. Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment."

"Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is."

Awwwww...

Matt Bomer's relationship status:

He's so taken! Bomer has been in a relationship with publicist Simon Halls for years. In fact, if you press rewind and go back to a 2010 Elle interview with Matt, before he was out and proud, you'll know who he's talking about:

"My favorite actors are people who I don't know anything about, and I can project any character onto them," he told the magazine. "They focus on their work and then go live their lives with the people they love."

Sometimes it's sweet to keep private things private.

As far as teen heartthrobs go, Josh Bowman is an exquisite specimen of a young man. Josh Bowman

Sweet Revenge

As far as teen heartthrobs go, Josh Bowman is an exquisite specimen of a young man. With British breeding, one fine face and a way about him that can make even smart cookie Emily VanCamp swoon on Revenge , this guy is the new number one on our hot list. We're glad that Miley Cyrus didn't keep him all to herself.

Why we love him

This wildly attractive British actor hides his accent well on Revenge — and with those chiseled looks, we might just believe anything he tells us. Good thing he's an honest, modest guy.

Josh Bowman

Born: March 4, 1988

Hometown: Berkshire, England

Height: 6'

Josh BowmanHe's been relatively unknown

Don't you love feeling like you've "discovered" a new hottie from an obscure show? That's how we feel about Josh Bowman, even though Revenge is anything but obscure these days, and he did do a movie with Miley Cyrus . Still, seeing him play put-upon rich boy Daniel Grayson is like a surprise gift from above... and a very attractive gift at that.

But Josh, whose personal motto is "March forth," a play on his birthday, March 4, admits he sometimes looks past Revenge and toward the future. He told Rolling Stone:

"I don't care if I fail. I'll just keep on trying to be better and get better at my craft..."

"I don't care if I fail. I'll just keep on trying to be better and get better at my craft, and I think it would be good to get out and have people see me in a different light. Maybe something back at home in England, or something where I'm embodying a different character completely. I don't think I'd want to play the same character ever again."

No, don't go back across the pond, Josh! We don't want to imagine a world in which Revenge exists without him at the helm.

He's a former rugby player

Not only did Josh merely play rugby before he decided to try his hand at acting, but he was a very good player, even going pro in the British leagues... until fate intervened:

"Well, I got to a certain level in the pros but then I get injured," he told GQ. "And I kept getting injured. I felt f***ing retired and then I was told I had to retire. I loved the performing arts in high school, but had no experience besides that. My friend was an agent and she agreed to take me on. I guess the universe was telling me something."

We like what the rugby gods had to say, because now we can enjoy Josh in our living room every Sunday evening. What a delicious way to finish the weekend...

He's sweet and humble

"A good sense of humor will get you everywhere."

Women's Health asked Josh what the key to a successful relationship is, and he said this:

"For sure, honesty and respect. And fun! Fun is so important. A good sense of humor will get you everywhere. The last thing you want after a day in the office writing about some silly actor on Revenge is to go home to a boyfriend who's moaning at you."

Silly?! We think not, Josh — but we love that you can laugh at yourself.

More on Joshua Bowman >>

Joshua Bowman's relationship status

It's no surprise that Josh has been known as quite a ladies' man. In the past, tabloids linked him with prominent celebs like Miley Cyrus and Amy Winehouse. But now? He knows what he wants in a woman.

"If you line up all the people I've dated, I don't know that you would find a type. I'm not really a looks guy, either," he told GQ. "I really like someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously and who will give me s***. I don't like people who just say, 'Yes sir, yes sir.' I like someone who challenges me to be a better person. That's what's important."

One clue who that special woman could be: His co-star Emily VanCamp herself! The pair has been spotted cozying up to one another in public, but he's staying mum about the relationship so far. In fact, he has a few choice words for those who like to pry:

"I like someone who challenges me to be a better person. That's what's important."

"I tell them to [expletive]-off because it's none of their business, and then it becomes less about the show and more about who I'm dating," he told People.

Until he publicly claims Emily, independent women, start lining up! Right behind us, of course...

Yee-haw! Not to get too stereotypical, but all of our fantasies about Blake Shelton involve either him wearing a strategically placed cowboy hat or us wearing one while...

Ahem... Excuse us, our brains have been turned to mush just imaging how we'd conduct ourselves if we ever got anywhere near the winning The Voice judge and country music star in person. All we'll say is: Miranda Lambert is one lucky lady.

Why we love him

The Southern drawl and perfect hair go a long way toward making Blake Shelton our current favorite celebrity crush, but add to that the fact that he seems like a genuinely nice and funny guy? We're putty in his hands.

Blake Shelton

Born: June 18, 1976

Hometown: Ada, Oklahoma

Height: 6' 5"

We'd pick him as our coach on The Voice

Blake Shelton on The Voice

We can dream, can't we, that we have golden pipes and a shot at winning The Voice? If that were the case, we'd definitely pick Blake as our personal coach, if only to hear that rolling Oklahoma drawl day in and day out. But even though Blake is officially cemented in the minds of the American public as a true superstar, he's really a down-home guy who gets pleasure from the simple things in life, like his hometown and his lovely musician wife.

"What you need to know about me is that I always just wanted to be a country singer," he told Redbook. "I didn't choose the path of television or being on magazine covers. You know, you can get so wrapped up in it. I can go hang out with Adam, Christina and the guys and have a big party where it's like, 'Yeah, it's L.A., bitch!' But then I just want to go home and get into my truck. Being in Oklahoma with Miranda is what makes me really happy."

Staying grounded even in the midst of all this fame? We're more than impressed!

"What you need to know about me is that I always just wanted to be a country singer. I didn't choose the path of television or being on magazine covers."

He's as addicted to Twitter as we are

We all have our vices, and we happen to love that Twitter is among Blake's hard-to-kick habits. AOL's The Boot asked him a few leading questions about the site and his use of it:

"The one tweet that I regret sending was ... Probably whichever one was the last one that I sent after midnight. If you asked Miranda what my worst habit is, she'd say ... Twitter. I am trying to quit ... Twitter."

We love his Twitter game, though — he cutely calls his followers "BS'ers," reveals funny details from conversations with Miranda, retweets his fans and shares pics of himself, one of which featured an out-of-control hairdo. Check it all out at @blakeshelton. But be warned! Some of his salty language isn't exactly PG.

We'll follow you no matter how unedited you are, Blake!

He has a fantastic sense of humor

From allowing Chelsea Handler to lay into him on Chelsea Lately while promoting his new holiday album, Cheers, It's Christmas, to gamely chatting with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb on the fourth hour of the Today show about Hoda's not-so-secret crush on him, Blake is a great sport and a skilled funnyman — happy to play along, even when the topic of discussion is his much-talked-about drinking habit.

Jay Leno recently quizzed him about which of his tweets he wrote drunk and which he wrote sober.

"Sometimes late at night, after I've had a few drinks, and that's when I'm really thinking clearly, I'll go on Twitter and announce, you know, things, like skinny jeans and other ridiculous things," Blake told Jay.

One of the Twitter jokes that Jay took him to task for?

"I'm so drunk right now I just walked in to McDonald's, pulled down my pants and shouted 'Can I get this super sized?!!'"

Oh, Blake. We'd super-size ya, baby. Wink-wink!

Miranda Lambert

Blake Shelton's
relationship status:

No big mystery here! He's been happily married to fellow country superstar Miranda Lambert since 2011. Her, "powerful personality" is one thing he says he loves about her. But as for what keeps them going strong, it's being like-minded that serves as the glue in their relationship:

"I never set out at any point in my life and said to myself, 'I want this kind of girl.' I met Miranda, and she just was that girl," he told Redbook. "I'm screwed now that I've met her, because I don't know who could be better for me in my eyes and my mind. That's just how she's always been for me since I met her.

"I'm screwed now that I've met her, because I don't know who could be better for me in my eyes and my mind."

"Now if I have to think about specific things, I'd say she loves the same things I love. She loves music and does it for a living and is successful at it, and it keeps her busy and prevents us from getting on each other's nerves. We can actually have our own separate lives and still be supportive and understanding of each other. I get it. I thought we were finally going to be home together for a week, and an opportunity came up for her to be on the Today show or something like that. It was sad, and I hated it, but I said, 'Naw, go ahead, baby! You'd better do that because your album's coming out, and I understand.' It's important for us to have somebody who gets all that."

We love a great love story, especially one that's built on respect, trust and hard work — all the important things in life. Congratulations, you two!

We're willing to bet that every single woman who has ever traveled on a solo European vacation has fantasized about meeting a Javier Bardem clone — a rakish, gravel-voiced foreigner who's sexy, kind, slightly brooding and maybe even a bit dangerous. There's a reason, after all, that he was cast as Julia Roberts' newfound flame in Eat, Pray, Love: He's the shimmering pot of gold that many of us ladies hope is at the end of our rainbow of self-discovery. And now our loins may explode when we see him share the screen with Daniel Craig in the new James Bond movie, Skyfall.

Javier Bardem

Yo quiero this hottie

Why we love him

Tall, dark and handsome, Javier Bardem has become the quintessential foreign-born man of mystery, guaranteed to rock your world .

Javier Bardem

Born: March 1, 1969

Hometown: Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain

Height: 6'

He has the whole "sexy foreigner" thing down pat

From Vicky Cristina Barcelona to Eat Pray Love , no other actor has been as reliably exotic and seductive as Javier Bardem — especially for otherwise rule-abiding female travelers looking for some excitement. Who can forget his subtle exhortation to Julia Roberts as writer Elizabeth Gilbert on the eve of their first lovemaking session in Eat Pray Love?: "It's time." Heck yes it is, Javier!

It's a little odd that a serious actor known for heavier fare like 21 Grams and Biutiful would choose to do what's considered by much of the public to be a chick flick, but something in Roberts' character spoke to him:

"I liked the idea of a person that really tried to detach herself from those things that create pain in her,"he told ELLE. "Knowing that in the end, you bring your own pain with you. Unless you really detach yourself from your own self — in a deep way or a spiritual way or psychological way — there's no way out."

Hooking up with a sexy new flame is certainly one way to detach!

Javier BardemHe's creepy when he wants to be

Aside from being a looker, Javier is a stellar actor. Just try watching No Country for Old Men and not being freaked out that Anton Chigurh might be coming for you, too, if you don't watch your back. The unconventional role earned Javier an Academy Award in 2008. His cerebral approach to his character as an idea was obviously a good one:

"That was the first character ever that I didn't try to build as a human, but as an idea,"he told GQ. "We arrived at the fact that I was violence. You call for it, and it has my haircut."

Frankly, we're still a little scared years after seeing that film — kudos to Javier for getting it so right.

We're counting down the days until we can see him act with Daniel Craig

Earth might melt on Nov. 9 from the sheer heat of Javier and Daniel Craig tangling in the newest James Bond film, Skyfall. Javier plays eccentric blond loner Raoul Silva — and rumor has it that Silva and Bond might share a bit of sexual tension. Without giving too much away, Javier explains that he and Skyfall director Sam Mendes worked together to shape Silva:

"Everything was based on what he said, which was this idea of uncomfortableness,"he told Den of Geek. "Like, he wants to create this uncomfortable situation constantly to the opponent. That has to do with his physicality. And also, it had to make dramatic sense, so when you watch the movie, you understand why this guy looks like that. I don’t want to give anything away, for those who haven’t seen it, but he’s been through something and wants to be the opposite of that.... I mean, I think Silva’s not attached to anything or anybody, only to his own pain. He’s not attached to any label. And he lives on an abandoned island, of course."

We can't wait to see what Javier has up his sleeve for this role.

Javier
"I'm happily married. I breathe and stay in peace. I truly thank whoever's up there for giving me the opportunity to be loved."

Javier Bardem's relationship status

As if we weren't jealous enough of Penelope Cruz, she scored Javier for herself, marrying him in July 2010. The pair has one son, Leo, born last year. Though he's reluctant to talk about his personal life in interviews, Javier summed up his romantic life to GQ: "I'm happily married. I breathe and stay in peace. I truly thank whoever's up there for giving me the opportunity to be loved."

And we thank Javier for letting us enjoy him onscreen.

Forget the boys of summer — give us the boys of Twilight! Actually, after spending four-plus years in the franchise, these hunks are more men than boys, and we love that! In honor of the series' final film, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, opening Nov. 16, here's a handy primer on what our favorite otherworldly guys have been up to and, more importantly, which ones are single.

Man Candy Monday: The guys of Twilight

Love bites have never sounded so sexy

Forget the boys of summer — give us the boys of Twilight! Actually, after spending four-plus years in the franchise, these hunks are more men than boys, and we love that! In honor of the series' final film, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2, opening Nov. 16, here's a handy primer on what our favorite otherworldly guys have been up to and, more importantly, which ones are single.

Peter Facinelli

Peter Facinelli

Born: Nov. 26, 1973
Hometown: New York City
Height: 6'

Why we love him

Golden-haired elder Carlisle Cullen is our favorite vegetarian vamp for a lot of reasons, but mostly because hottie Peter Facinelli brings him to life. We also have a soft spot for Peter after we swooned over him as dumb jock Mike Dexter in Can't Hardly Wait— even though he was foolish enough to dump Jennifer Love Hewitt and later lose his football scholarship. Our Peter would never do such a thing!

Relationship status

Famously married to original Beverly Hills: 90210 actress Jennie Garth from 2001 until this year , Peter hasn't said he's dating anyone new . Calling all single ladies!

Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson

Birth date: May 13, 1986
Hometown: London, England
Height: 6'1"

Why we love him

We've said it before, and we'll say it again: As chivalrous, protective vampire Edward Cullen, Robert inspired girls and women everywhere to dream of being Bella Swan for only one minute. A friend of ours described Edward as "part Mark Darcy, part James Dean, and part Romeo." We know exactly what she means — and Pattinson was the only actor who could have brought the hunky character to life.

Relationship status

Are they or aren't they? Robert has been seen out and about with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, after an on-again, off-again courtship during which she apparently cheated with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. The pair even wore matching Halloween masks this year. But as for whether they're official? Kristen herself said this on the Today show recently: "I'm going to just let people watch whatever little movie they think our lives are. Keep 'em guessing, I always say." So does this mean he's single? 'Cause we'll be first in line!

Kellan Lutz

Kellan Lutz

Born: March 15, 1985
Hometown: Dickinson, North Dakota
Height: 6' 1"

Why we love him

Oh, do we appreciate a beautiful man! And when it comes to sheer rock-hard gorgeousness, Kellan is all that and then some. Getting to see him as Edward's older brother in Twilight is just icing on the cake. Stay tuned, because he's slated to play Tarzan in an upcoming 3D film production titled — you guessed it — Tarzan, out in 2013. One word: loincloth. "I want to act for the rest of my life,"he told DuJour magazine last month. "I'll win an Oscar one day, but I’m in no rush to get there. I don’t care if that takes me 50 years, and I’m old. I just love what I do.”

Relationship status

Kellan famously dated his 90210 costar AnnaLynne McCord, but he's holding steady with current girlfriend Sharni Vinson at the moment. "Sharni's personality and mine very much complement each other, and we connect on every level,"he told People. "She has a big personality so we have great conversations and laugh so much. I'm never fake with her, and it makes our relationship so easy. It's all about being honest." Sounds like they're connecting!

Taylor Lautner

Taylor Lautner

Born: Feb. 11, 1992
Hometown: Grand Rapids, Michigan
Height: 5' 10 1/2"

Why we love him

He's the ultimate shirtless werewolf wonder in all of the Twilight films, and guess what? We have one very specific scene to look forward to. "It's funny. I had a conversation with the director... and I said, 'Can we maybe try and limit the shirtless scenes just a little bit?''' Lautner said on Live with Kelly and Michael. "So I was able to do that, and so, there's only one in this one. But it's a serious one." We're serious about freeze-framing it.

Relationship status

Who can forget Taylor Swift + Taylor Lautner? Sadly, their same-name love connection came to an end back in 2009. On the plus side, he's said in the past that he's open to dating fans. Excellent! Hollywoodlife recently speculated that he was dating his ex-girlfriend Sara Hicks again, but no word on whether that's the case.

Jackson Rathbone

Born: Dec. 21, 1984
Hometown: Singapore City, Singapore
Height: 5' 9 1/2"

Why we love him

This vamp sexpot sure has talent: Aside from playing Jasper Hale in every Twilight movie, he was a member of the L.A.-based funk rock band 100 Monkeys until this past spring. But he wasn't just a pretty-boy frontman: Jackson sings and plays the bass, the drums, the keyboard, the trumpet, the harmonica — even the mandolin. Not to worry, though: Jackson's solo album, Billy Badass, was just released. "Acting and music are two very different yet similar forms of art. Sometimes I feel as if I’m in a chimera in that I cannot separate those forms of art. I will continue to act and make music concurrently as long as I breathe,"he told Glow magazine. Remind us to invite Jackson to our next Rock Band party.

Jackson Rathbone

Relationship status

Hot dad alert! This past July, Jackson and his girlfriend, burlesque dancer Sheila Hafsadi, had their first child, a son, Monroe. Congratulations, you two!

This macho blonde Brit is a key part of Sons of Anarchy, the most successful TV show FX has ever had. We like to think the cocktail of critical acclaim that the show, about a California motorcycle club, has whipped up has a lot to do with sexy Charlie Hunnam, who has ridden his way into the deepest reaches of our imagination.

Man Candy Monday: Charlie Hunnam

Charlie Hunnam

We'll take him for a spin

This macho blonde Brit is a key part of Sons of Anarchy, the most successful TV show FX has ever had. We like to think the cocktail of critical acclaim that the show has whipped up has a lot to do with sexy Charlie Hunnam, who has ridden his way into the deepest reaches of our imagination.

Why we love him

This British pretty boy reinvented himself as a tough guy for Sons of Anarchy— and we'd have no problem riding off into the sunset with him.

Charlie Hunnam

Born: April 10, 1980

Hometown: Newcastle, England

Height: 6' 1"

He's picky about his roles

As hot as Charlie is, and despite the success of Sons of Anarchy , he's not quite a household name yet. But it's all part of his master plan. He told one blog about how he passed up leading parts to do the movie Cold Mountain:

"Yes, it is [hard to say no to offers] when some films do not pay as well, and you have a mortgage to pay, and you are on an economy drive eating eggs and beans,"he said. "Then you are offered a million-dollar role and you turn it down, as it is not right. I want to be doing this when I am 60 and getting the big-paying roles then, so I have to pick the parts that are right for the long term rather than take the money now."

Choosy is good! We can't wait until he hits it really big.

He speaks highly of his female costars

In the movie 3, 2, 1... Frankie Go Boom, Charlie stars alongside Bridesmaids hottie Chris O'Dowd and raven-haired stunner Lizzy Caplan, who plays his love interest. Charlie said when Lizzy auditioned for the role, he instinctively knew she was the one for the part, and the rest is movie history. But there's no real romance behind their onscreen couplehood, he says, even though it looks like it.

"When it says we’re in love, we act like we’re in love and that’s it,"he told Collider. "We shot this two years ago now, but I remember feeling, in those scenes, 'Wow, it feels like there’s something really going on between us. It feels like there’s real chemistry.' She’s like my sister. We’d go in to kiss and she’d be like, 'Dude, you should probably eat some more f***ing onions? What have you been eating, f**king salami?' There was no actual romance between us."

We love a guy who can laugh at himself — and who's a consummate professional.

Charlie Hunnam
Charlie Hunnam
Charlie Hunnam

He's a writer too

Charlie's not just a pretty face: In 2009, he sold a screenplay, Vlad, about a young Vlad the Impaler, to Summit Entertainment . Trivia: Plan B Studios, Brad Pitt's company, is co-producing the film. And as if that wasn't enough hotness for one project, Charlie says his ideal lead actor would be either Colin Farrell or Christian Bale. But what about Charlie himself as Vlad?

"Listen, it would be a dream come true for me to play this role,"he told EW.com. "But I’ve had my heart-broken so many times that I’m not kidding myself that there’s any real potential. There’s a reality to making this type of film and how much it costs, and I’m just not a big enough name to justify that type of budget right now. But I definitely know this guy really well. Inevitably, because he’s my take on Vlad, he acts in a lot of ways that I can really relate to. I capitalized on the stuff that I can empathize with in terms of his story. So just by virtue of that, I would definitely be a smart candidate to consider. It’d just be whether the business machinations of the whole thing were in keeping with my desire to play that role."

No word as to when the film will be released, but we'd definitely buy a ticket if Charlie took the title role...

Charlie Hunnam's relationship status:

Back in 1999, Charlie married actress Katharine Towne after dating her for only four weeks; the pair split in 2002. Fast-forward to the present: He's been dating Los Angeles jewelry designer Morgana McNelis for about six years.

And, yes, she's made jewelry especially for him! Which he adored, despite himself:

"She told me she was making me a diamond encrusted ring — she’s a jewelry designer, not an actor — and I was like 'Uh-oh. This is not going to go well for me.' But I love it. It’s so discrete and beautiful,"he told ELLE.com. We checked out McNelis's jewelry line, Maison de Morgana, and we have to say: We're pretty fond of her creations too. Cheers to amore between two young professionals!

From comic book hero to English royalty to rom-com love interest, Eric Bana can — and has! — played all kinds of movie roles. But our favorite way to enjoy Eric is visually, no moving picture necessary — with that scruffy chin and adorable grin . Now we get to see Eric grace the silver screen alongside Olivia Wilde and hottie Charlie Hunnam in the thriller Deadfall, in theaters now.

Why we love him

Versatile as an actor, this Aussie has boy-next-door looks that make him flat-out irresistible, whether it's in an intellectual night-at-the-cinema capacity or while we're enjoying a good, old-fashioned chick flick.

Eric Bana

Born: Aug. 9, 1968

Hometown: Melbourne, Australia

Height: 6' 2-1/2"

The boy is smokin' — and directors agree

Hmmm, who to cast as a librarian-turned-time-traveler? Or a sexually depraved Tudor? Or an Israeli assassin? Or the Incredible Hulk? Eric Bana, of course. Was the variety of roles by design? Not really!

"I think if you had to map that out at the beginning and you said, 'Right, sit down, this is what you’re going to be doing,' you’d probably freak out,"he told the AV Club. "But I’m someone who really enjoys not being himself. So if you consider that, then it all sort of makes sense. You know? And I just think that’s the job of an actor. I guess that’s the variation that you’re talking about. It’s probably a byproduct of just constantly looking for something different, because that’s what I feel like I’m supposed to do."

Different movies mean different opportunities to see Eric strut his stuff, so we're certainly happy with his choices.

We love his leading ladies

Eric being utterly adorable has assured him a bevy of comely ladies who function as his better half. We're talking Rachel McAdams , Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman and Drew Barrymore . Are there any A-list women left in Hollywood, or has Eric starred with all of them?

Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams
Eric Bana and Natalie Portman
Eric Bana and Olivia WIlde

This hottie has even starred alongside the gorgeous Olivia Wilde . Far from a normal onscreen relationship, however, his and Olivia's sibling roles aren't cut-and-dried:

"There’s no doubt that it’s somewhat compromised and somewhat complicated and murky, but I think that adds to the tension and the drama in the film, and it adds to the complexity of [Bana's character] Addison, so I was happy with that,"he recently told Collider. "I was also happy with the fact that it wasn’t overly fleshed out. We only had a couple of moments in which to play with that stuff, whether it be the way he watches her getting changed in the snow in the beginning or how he talks to her or the kiss at the dinner table. That’s kind of weird, but at the same time, it’s about putting Jay off kilter. So, it was a weird dynamic. It’s not every day that you read stuff like that, so it was exciting to play. It’s a believable older brother, younger sister dynamic, but just ramped up."

In fact, the interview goes on to say, he found a kindred spirit in Olivia: "Yeah, she’s a lot of fun. She’s got a very, very good sense of humor, actually. She does good impressions, as well, by the way. She was really cool."

Which leads us to our next point...

He's a real-life comedian

Wise guy? You bet. Eric didn't just star in Funny People— he really is funny: He got his start on the Australian sketch comedy program Full Frontal in 1993 and worked on the show as a writer and actor for four years. His specialty: impressions, namely of action-movie heavyweights such as Tom Cruise, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone.

Fun fact: As a kid, on the playground, he even used to do impressions of teachers — and everyone loved him for it, he said this past week on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

"I used to do a lot of impressions when I was a kid in the family home, and also mainly to just get out of detention at school," he says. "I would do other teachers at school, and just try and get out of trouble, basically and use it as currency... They used to pull me aside in the corridor and ask me to do other teachers on their behalf, like on the slide: 'Could you do the pot-smoking P.E. teacher for me, and could you do the principal?' And [I would get] better grades and I would get out of trouble by doing the impressions. So it's just a different form of currency I prefer the currency now, but, yeah, it was good."

We'd pay good money to see a few of those old-school Bana acts.

Rebecca Gleeson and Eric Bana

Despite his man-about-town looks, Eric is a one-woman man: He's been married to publicist Rebecca Gleeson since 1997, and the pair has two children, Klaus and Sophie. How does he keep the home fires burning? Distance from work, for one. The Banas live in Sydney, Australia.

"When I go on the plane to fly home, I'm literally capable of forgetting what I do for a job,"he once told USA TODAY. "That also comes about because I choose to take massive breaks between projects, and because I choose to do this ridiculous thing of keeping home, home."

Sounds like it's working!

We fancy this gruff hottie

Call us crazy, but if Russell Crowe were ever to growl at us, stare at us or utter something unintelligible under his breath in our general vicinity, we would be pretty excited.

Sure, the hot-tempered rogue's fury hasn't done hotel staff any favors, but manly men who run hot and cold figure prominently into our fantasies — and Russell is right there at the top of the unshaven, gravely list. It's almost too good to be true that he also sings — and well! We can't wait to watch him croon as Javert in Les Miserables, in movie theaters Christmas Day.

Why we love him

With a laundry list of movies under his belt , Russell Crowe has reached "classic hottie" status in our book. And like a fine wine, this grizzled gent only gets better with age.

Russell Crowe

Born: April 7, 1964

Hometown: Wellington, New Zealand

Height: 5' 11"

He's a firecracker on film and in real life

Who can forget when Crowe threw a telephone at a hotel concierge in 2005? Not one of his most shining moments, clearly, but you can't argue that the guy's full of passion. He brings a similar single-minded dedication to his craft, infusing characters like mathematician John Nash , T.K. and a hard-drinking investigative newspaper journalist with a raw emotional core we can't stop watching. As for that hardcore persona? It may be slightly exaggerated, Crowe has said.

"People build this thing that isn't real,"he told GQ last year. "They take the smallest, tiniest increment of truth and expand it to some other place. They still do it here in the newspapers. I am always described as 'Hollywood Hard Man.' It's just ridiculous. I know some hard men, mate, and I am not a hard man. I'm a guy who likes poetry, who writes songs. I put on makeup for a living. Give me a break. If I was a hard man, I wouldn't be any good at my job. That's assuming that I am good at my job."

Oh, you're good at your job, all right, Russell.

"I know some hard men, mate, and I am not a hard man. I'm a guy who likes poetry, who writes songs. I put on makeup for a living."

He likes to go shopping

Maybe you've fantasized about going shopping with celebs like Cameron Diaz or Lauren Conrad, but how does having Russell Crowe at your side, picking out dresses for you, strike your fancy?

"I love going shopping,"he once told Men's Journal. "I have a black belt in it. My wife [Danielle] really appreciates that in me. Whatever you need, mate, I'll get it."

"I can do the supermarket in six minutes. I can pick out the first nine things my wife would like to try on. I'm not bragging; it's fact. I have retail-therapy issues. But I am cool with that. I shop with a big smile on my face."

We love this. Love. The man also threw weekly karaoke parties at his very own home for the Les Miserables cast while they were filming. Imagine getting an invite to those shindigs... or doing a duet with Russell... A girl can dream a dream, right?

He takes on huge roles — and does them well

Hold onto your seats, Russell fans: There are some big projects coming down the pipeline. And we mean big. Not only will he play Jor-El, Superman's father, in the upcoming film Man of Steel , but he's going to play Biblical figure Noah in the 2014 movie Noah . Now those are some big shoes to fill. Is he up to the challenge? Obviously! Plus, not even a hurricane can stop Russell from being Russell:

He tweeted, "Found Yorkshire tea at Myers of Keswick on Hudson Street, NY. Teapot and 1953 coronation cup. Aah Tea, it's the ritual perfect for hurricanes."

See? Not even a natural disaster can stand in his way.

Russell Crowe's relationship status:

This past October, reports surfaced that Crowe and his wife, singer Danielle Spencer, whom he's been with on and off since 1989, had separated after nine years as husband and wife. The pair has two children: boys Charlie and Tennyson. Other notable relationships: Crowe famously had an affair with Meg Ryan when they filmed Proof of Life together back in 2000.

He himself admitted he doesn't know everything about the opposite sex:

"Look, when it comes to women, you are talking about mysteries that haven't been unraveled by the wisest scholars of all time. I'm not going to be able to do that. But I can teach my sons to respect them,"he told Men's Journal.

Sounds like a great start to us.

See, Dean Geyer is just unfair competition for any guy out there hoping to win a woman's heart. He's smoking hot, he's a singing, guitar-playing, acting talent, and he even seems like a really nice guy. Go home, other boys. Dean has handily made every woman in America swoon.

Why we love him

His voice and Aussie accent get our motor running, but one look at that face, and stick a fork in us — we're done!

Dean Geyer

Born: March 20, 1986

Hometown: Johannesburg, South Africa

Height: 6'

He had humble beginnings on reality TV

After he showed off that beautiful face and voice on Australian Idol, the rest of Geyer's career was gravy , because who can resist a talented young crooner and guitar player who looks like this? The cool thing about Dean, though? His humility. He never dreamed of being this successful — really!

"I literally came out of high school thinking that I was going to do something in the sports world because I grew up with a very sports-oriented family,"he told Backstage. "My last year of school I got involved with playing guitar and singing, and I joined a band and I just decided that year somehow that I was going to play music. I’ve never liked having like a set kind of schedule of training. Even when I was doing guitar lessons, I never used to practice. Having singing lessons was something that I kind of steered away from. During Australian Idol, that was the first time I ever had technical training, and since then, I still haven't had any technical training!'

You sound more than OK to us, Dean.

"In this business, you are never going to please everyone, and so maybe you're going to get hate mail."

We love the show he's on right now

Glee was hot enough as it is, and then this male specimen swept into town as Brody Weston and made us love the show even more. Even better is that the first time we see him, he’s stepping out of the shower.

If he were in charge, which direction would the show go in?

"I think they need to do a Justin Timberlake week,"he told Celebritain.com. "I feel like my character would fit really well with that and I definitely think Ryan [Murphy] could do a lot with Justin Timberlake’s music. Justin is very influential and a great artist."

Now that’s bringing sexy back.

He takes things in stride

Starring in such a popular show in such a prominent role, there's bound to be some backlash from hardcore fans. He's even gotten "hate tweets" about his treatment of Rachel on the show! But it's all in good fun, he says.

"In this business, you are never going to please everyone, and so maybe you're going to get hate mail,"he told Theatermania. "But this is just my work, and it's fun to play this character who may be shaking things up."

We love a guy who's above the fray!

Dean Geyer's relationship status

Onscreen, Dean charms actress Lea Michele, but in real life, he only has eyes for his girlfriend of more than two years, Jillian Murray, with whom he starred in Never Back Down 2. And he's super-supportive of his actress lady friend . He tweeted a link to a music video recently that starred Murray, saying: "And of course if you are watching the video, you know who the amazing gorgeous, sexy girl in it is ;) miss Jillian Murray ;)"

Awww — there's nothing more adorable than seeing a guy go to bat for his special gal.

Austin Butler

We're "Carrie'd" away with this cutie

As if we weren't excited enough for tonight's premiere of The Carrie Diaries, adorable blond Austin Butler plays a prime role in the Sex and the City prequel. DVR: set! Thanks to Austin, we're gonna watch it again and again...

Why we love him

The platonic ideal of a cute California boy, Austin is our high school dream come true.

Austin Butler

Born: Aug. 17, 1991

Hometown: Anaheim, California

Height: 6'

If a young Carrie Bradshaw adores him, so do we

One look at Austin, and we know we'd be head-over-heels in love with him had he graced us with his presence in the halls of our high school. Hey, we have a crush on him now, and we're not even 16 years old anymore. Austin plays bad boy Sebastian Kydd , who quickly captures Carrie's attention. But there's more to this cute guy than meets the eye... not all of it good. Butler, however, is quick to say that Kydd is no run-of-the-mill bad boy:

“He’s so much more than that,” Butler told Celebuzz.“And it’s fun for me because as I read the episodes, I get to see where his humanity is. When you first see someone, you might think, ‘Oh, they don’t feel this or they don’t feel that,' but then you get to see what he feels and what pushes his buttons. It’s really fun.”

We can't wait to check it out!

His resume is already stacked

Even though Butler looks young, his resume is practically the length of a Dead Sea Scroll, thanks to his early kid-friendly gigs like Aliens in the Attic, Ruby & The Rockits and Disney's Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure, in which he again starred alongside Ashley Tisdale. You've probably also seen him in weightier fare, like Life Unexpected and Switched at Birth, plus much more. When does this guy ever sleep? That's gotta mean one thing: He's a hard worker.

"As far as acting goes…You can never learn enough,"he once told Portrait magazine. "Even the greatest actors still go to acting class. Also, and equally important, be nice to everyone you meet, because the guy who’s sweeping the floors today could someday be the biggest director or producer out there."

Well said.

The Cast of the Carrie Diaries

He prepared for The Carrie Diaries in the best way possible

How does one educate oneself before playing an early incarnation of Mr. Big? By figuring out what makes us ladies tick. He told Interview magazine he rented The Breakfast Club to see what, exactly, makes Judd Nelson so darn appealing. And, of course, he watched a few episodes of Sex and the City. What did he think?

"I never pictured myself on Sex and the City,"he told Interview."But I watched the first two seasons in under a week and . . . Well, I get why women love it."

The Breakfast Club plus a Sex and the City marathon? Add a bottle of wine and some chips, and we'll be over at your house in two seconds, Austin. Best. Date. Ever.

Austin Butler's relationship status:

Austin Butler and Vanessa Hudgens

No low-profile romance here! Austin has been dating High School Musical actress Vanessa Hudgens, none other than Zac Efron's ex, for about a year and a half. The pair has been known to do yoga and go hiking together — adorable.

But despite how cool and collected the pair looks in paparazzi pics, privacy is something that Austin has fretted about in the past.

“You can go the route of not living your life at all — and a lot of actors do that, where they just won’t even go out of the house at all — but it makes life so unenjoyable,"he told Access Hollywood. "You can’t go out, you can’t hold hands with your girlfriend, you can’t do any of these things. So, I’m trying to find the balance. It’s just staying happy and staying present and not worrying about what other people think.”

Good way to look at it, Austin!

Smart & Scruffy

How sexy does Liev Schreiber look, whether he's in a tux presenting at the Golden Globes or in full-on Shakespearean garb? So sexy that we've tried to will ourselves to inhabit Naomi Watts's body so that we'll get to go home with him at the end of the night. We'll just have to settle for seeing him in the raunchy, star-studded comedy Movie 43, out this week.

Why we love him

He's a tall drink of water who inhabits rough-and-tough characters by day and does the dad thing by night. What's not to like about Liev Schreiber?

Liev Schreiber

Born: Oct. 4, 1967

Hometown: San Francisco, California

Height: 6' 3"

He's got the superhero thing down

At six-foot-three and a solid 10 on the "extraordinarily handsome" meter, it's obvious that Liev would be a shoo-in for a superhero. And he certainly delivered in X-Men Origins: Wolverine— Liev played Victor Creed, a.k.a. Sabretooth, whose mutton chops rival Hugh Jackman's. Facial hair or no facial hair, we heart this Marvel Comics mutant. And it gets better: He actually worked out with Hugh on set — be still our hearts.

"I don't know that anybody — whether or not they're a fan of Wolverine, the comic — wouldn't want to do what I do. It's just so much fun,"he told AskMen.com. "It was probably the most physically grueling movie that I ever worked on, but at the same time it was definitely also the most fun. [There was] a tremendous amount of training, and I'm not exactly 'Joe Trainer,' if you know what I mean. Working out six days a week, having a strict diet and trying to keep up with Hugh on the beaches of Australia was difficult, but also something I really enjoyed."

Trivia: The pair stars together again in Movie 43!

And that's something we would have really enjoyed watching! Wolverine + Sabretooth = serious animal magnetism.

He's a smarty-pants Shakespeare buff

He may look like a brute , but this big lug has a soft spot for the Bard. In fact, he's performed Shake's plays on both the stage and the screen, and counts Yale's School Of Drama and London's Royal Academy Of Dramatic Art as his alma maters. All told, this guy is a brain. Which we find unspeakably hot.

When it comes to his playing tried-and-true characters like Hamlet , Liev takes the pressure in stride.

"You always have to create the character from the ground up,"he told the AV Club. "I don't know, I've never really been that concerned about doing something that someone else has done. In some respects, every character has been around forever, so whether it's a new play or a play that has been done before... I don't know. It's something that comes up, but if you're doing your job right, it only comes up after the fact, critically. 'How was he compared to...' But in the moment, I don't think audiences think about that. If you're doing your job right, they're in the world of the play, or the story, or the film."

Swoon. We wish we could sit front row at one of his productions!

Liev Schreiber at the theater

Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts

He directs films too

Here we thought the idea of Liev and Hugh Jackman together was enticing — Mr. Schreiber can also put "director" on his resume. He directed another one of our favorite hotties, Elijah Wood, in Everything is Illuminated, based on the Jonathan Safran Foer novel. Choosing Elijah was instinct, he says:

"[W]hat I was very interested in, and part of why I loved Jonathan’s book and part of what I was looking for in a lead actor, was someone who could present an image of Americans that broke some of the stereotypes and the molds,"he told About.com. "I felt at this time in our history the most important thing that we could present was a character who was vulnerable, who was flawed, who was open, who was nostalgic, who was defeatable, but more importantly than anything, looking for his own history beyond the boundaries of his own country."

We might have to go back and watch that movie again!

Liev Schreiber's relationship status

Is Liev a dedicated dad? Is the sky blue? He's been dating talented and gorgeous actress Naomi Watts since 2005, and the couple has two kids, Alexander Pete and Samuel Kai. As normal as humanly possible for Hollywood, they've been photographed together doing ordinary things like going to Whole Foods and hitting New York City parks with their kids. Love it! "I try to be a hands-on father,"he told the Examiner.

Seeing as Watts and Schreiber are two working actors, they try to choose projects with alternating schedules so at least one person can be a full-time parent, but the chips don't always fall that way, he has said:

"At the end of the day, we’re actors,"he said. "We want to work. Sometimes you [can’t pass up opportunities], especially when the [children] are little — and if you can take them with you, why not? So we did."

Intensity is this cool, blue-eyed beauty's specialty — even more reason for us to watch every episode of Breaking Bad on the edge of our seat. Jesse Pinkman is hands down our favorite criminal.

Why we love him

Gorgeous and supremely talented, Emmy winner Aaron Paul is a guy we'd be content to just hang out with... But we can still fantasize about being his girl, yo.

Aaron Paul

Born: Aug. 27, 1979

Hometown: Emmett, Idaho

Height: 5' 8"

He's grateful for his success

Aaron's well-known now, but if it wasn't for Breaking Bad, some of us might not have had the opportunity to enjoy this gorgeous creature onscreen:

"It's great, it's because of Breaking Bad really that we're in these films right now. It just opened up so many doors throughout the past four or five years...,"he told People. "When I read it, I thought it was the most brilliant thing I've ever read, but I told myself 'There's no way in hell this is gonna get picked up. There's not a chance.'"

We're beyond glad it did. New episodes of the fifth and final season air July 13.

Aaron Paul
I couldn't imagine myself being without her.

We can't wait for his upcoming projects

We like vintage Aaron , but his most recent roles are — or are going to be — even more exciting. Specifically, he plays one half of an alcoholic couple in the film Smashed, which just premiered at Sundance, and he's slated to star alongside Kid Cudi in a movie adaptation of the videogame Need for Speed, out next February.

"When I first started, I just wanted to work,"he told GQ. "I wouldn't necessarily do anything, but I'd pretty much almost do anything at the very beginning. And then the more I started to work, the pickier I became, and now with this show that I'm working on now, it's just — it's hard to say yes to projects. Breaking Bad, I've never been more proud."

He doesn't take himself too seriously

Aaron admitted to Esquire that he definitely did a little bit of firsthand acting research with tequila when he was filming Smashed. But the majority of it was off-camera, he says.

"[M]ost of my drinking happened before the shoot, just as research," he told the magazine. "And I filmed myself drunk, just to see what I'm like. I watched so many funny videos of people drunk on YouTube... There's the really angry drunk, who's just annoying to be around. I prefer the drunk who falls all over the place and is being completely inappropriate. Or the super-loud, happy drunk, which is evidentially what I am."

Even more of an incentive to want to cork a bottle with Aaron across the table.

Aaron Paul's relationship status

We're bummed that this young stallion is taken, but we like his taste in women: He recently asked — or, in his words, "begged"— film producer/director and president of the anti-bullying organization Kind Campaign Lauren Parsekian to marry him... in Paris on New Year's Eve. Aaron, can you call our boyfriends and give them that memo? Here's what he says about his lady love, whom he met at Coachella, eventually fell in love with and kissed for the first time on an amusement park ride:

"When you know, you know"? It was crazy,"he told GQ. "The moment that happened — even leading up to the kiss on the Ferris wheel, I couldn't imagine myself being without her. Because just the idea of doing this all the time was such a fantasy of mine — I was like, 'Wait, can this actually exist?'"

Looks like it can — congratulations, Aaron and Lauren!

We're over the moon for this comeback kid

From '90s heartthrob to Golden Globe-winning director, Ben Affleck has been making us drool for a solid two decades. And now, Ben's career has made an incredible resurgence as the Golden Globe-winning director of Argo, about the rescue of six U.S. diplomats in Iran in 1979. And we're loving every minute of his day in the sun.

Why we love him

One of our old faves from back in the day, Ben Affleck has nabbed some serious cred in the film world lately, which makes him even sexier to us.

Ben Affleck

Born: Aug. 15, 1972

Hometown: Berkeley, California

Height: 6' 2-1/2"

He's so hot right now —

After taking some major lumps in the past 15 years or so — remember Bennifer, Jersey Girl and Gigli? — Ben won the Best Director Golden Globe for the Best Drama-winning film Argo, a mega-comeback for the star. And he hasn't done too badly at all relationship-wise, after marrying Jennifer Garner in 2005 and having three adorable kids.

After his big Globes win, he tweeted:

"To hear your name included among directors I've long admired is incredible. To win? Wow, thank you HFPA. #GoldenGlobes."

We're all about this comeback, as we think Ben's only gotten better looking and more distinguished with age.

Four words: Besties with Matt Damon

Does the duo behind Good Will Hunting still hang out? Definitely! The two live next door to each other. Matt bought a house right next to Ben's last year.

Matt Damon is psyched about it too: "Yeah, it's definitely not the life we had planned for ourselves in that way,"Matt told E! Online on his life and friendship with Ben. "It's great in a whole different way, like that Garth Brooks song, 'Thank God for Unanswered Prayers.' I never looked up in the sky and asked for this life; I'm just very lucky that I got it."

We love that these BFFs are still going strong!

He's not afraid to admit to a man crush

At the SAG Awards last month, Access Hollywood chatted with Ben about his affection for Brad Pitt. Let's dig deeper into this scoop, shall we?

“I love Brad Pitt. I think he’s amazing,” he told Access Hollywood. And that's not all...

“I love the way he looks, I’m not going to lie! I think he’s awesome,” Ben said. “If I could be somebody, it’d definitely be Brad Pitt.”

Solid choice for a man crush , Ben! Think he's got a poster of Brad taped on the inside of his locker?

Ben Affleck's relationship status

Although we can't forget the phenomenon that was Bennifer, in all of its massive-pink-diamond-engagement-ring glory, Ben has long since moved on from Jennifer Lopez and become a doting dad to his three kids  with wife Jennifer Garner.

He opened up about his family and his work at the Producers' Guild of America Awards, where he won an Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Picture award.

"They're the most important people in my life. Family is a wonderful thing, but it doesn't mean you can't do other stuff in your life. In fact, having a family makes whatever other thing you have that much richer,"he said. "If it was just me, I'd be home alone and think, 'Well, something good happened at work,' but it's much nicer to share it with people you love."

Awwww — we love it when a tough guy gets all lovey-dovey.

We're in a lather over this soap stud

Let's hear it for classic good-looking guys, in which case Josh Duhamel is at the top of our list of immaculately groomed, alluring men. Now we get to see him play a sexy small-town widower in the movie Safe Haven, out on Valentine's Day.

Why we love him

Not to play favorites, but when a guy is as tall and handsome as Josh Duhamel, there's not a lot of visual competition from other guys. Suffice it to say, Josh is a fine male specimen that we could look at for a long, long time.

Josh Duhamel

Born: Nov. 14, 1972

Hometown: Minot, North Dakota

Height: 6' 3-1/2"

He's an accidental star — and we kind of love that

Josh Duhamel is pretty. He's hot. He's pretty friggin' hot, and pardon us if we've abruptly stopped our workday to gaze at a few shirtless pics of our current favorite piece of Man Candy. But this guy is no child actor. He was working in construction when he was discovered by a scout at age 26.

From there, the gigs started to roll in, from runway modeling and a longstanding role as Leo du Pres in All My Children to the title role in the movie Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! and the big-time part of Captain William Lennox in all three Transformers movies. Not too shabby for a kid who worked odd jobs for most of his 20s.

But old habits die hard. Here's what he told Marie Claire he finds fun:

"I'm sort of an old man, always tinkering in the backyard," he said in an interview with the magazine. "Since I grew up playing outdoors, I still like to plant things, sit out on the deck or go hiking."

We don't even hike, and we'd put on boots and a flannel for Josh. Fun fact: He was an extra in Christina Aguilera's Genie in a Bottle video. He sure rubs us the right way.

He's an adorable klutz

Why was Josh's hand recently in a bandage while promoting the film Safe Haven with his co-star Julianne Hough? A nasty spill that we can totally relate to. Here's how he told the story of getting ready for an event alongside Hough to People:

“I tripped over Julianne’s curling iron cord and grabbed the wrong end of it. So I had to do the rest of our press day with Band-Aids all over my fingers. We put them under ice, but, yeah, they’re a little blistered. It’s not too bad.”

If we had a dollar for every time we've had a curling iron mishap, we could buy something fancy. Good to know it happens to suave hotties like Josh too.

He's loves his powerful woman

So, yes, Josh Duhamel is a name all on his own, but his lady love has only one — big, boldfaced — name: Fergie, of the Black Eyed Peas. And he's incredibly proud of his main squeeze — he's said she can even keep their dogs entertained by singing to them for 20 minutes! So what's the secret to this power couple's bliss?

"The secret to my relationship is that we genuinely like each other, and we both try to be thoughtful about what's going on with the other person,"he told Women's Health. "Neither of us ever really feels alone."

Simple and sweet. Sigh. Another relationship perk: Fergie also described Josh as "well-endowed"to The Advocate... if you're, ahem, interested in that type of thing.

Josh Duhamel's relationship status

Like we said before, he's oh-so-taken! Josh and Fergie got married in January of 2009... and renewed their vows one year later. So our natural question is... what about kids?

"I've always wanted to be a dad,"he told Redbook. "I just can't wait to have a little rug rat running around. I used to want five or six kids, but maybe I've become too self-absorbed over the years. I think two would be perfect."

We're betting they'll be as adorable — if not more so — as Josh himself.

Audiences have certainly warmed up to this former child star, initially famous for his role as a shrill tyke in About a Boy — but Nicholas Hoult is all grown up and showing off his potent leading man chemistry in the zombie flick Warm Bodies, which is now raking in some serious cash at the box office.

Why we love him

This British hottie makes robbing the cradle incredibly appealing... and judging from his recent big screen successes, we'll probably have some competition.

Nicholas Hoult

Born: Dec. 7, 1989

Hometown: Berkshire, England

Height: 6' 2-1/2"

Otherworldly roles are kind of his thing

Need a convincing zombie? A mutant superhero? For transporting movie characters, Nicholas is your man. With his big screen turn as Beast in X-Men: First Class, he became a household face, if not necessarily a household name, and his zombie role in Warm Bodies has already wowed audiences to the tune of a $45 million box office haul . Those odd creatures are not only a ticket to success, but a jolly good time, he says.

"I seem to do a lot of sci-fi films and experimental adventure films, and strange stories not set in the real world...,"he told JustJared.com. "It’s fun to go and see those films, it’s a good escapism. It’s fun for me as well to go and play random, strange characters.”

But, he went on to say, he could definitely get used to the idea of playing something a little more staid:

“I’d like to do a proper period piece, go right back to the Victorian era. I’d also like to do a normal story where I don’t have to wear makeup. Warm Bodies, Mad Max, Beast in X-Men, all those films I had to wear a lot of makeup.”

Nicholas in 1800s attire? You don't have to convince us — we'd be into seeing him rip a bodice or two!

We love seeing well-adjusted child actors

The first place many of us saw Nicholas was alongside Hugh Grant in About a Boy. From there, he graduated to teen TV shows like Skins before he inhabited darker, more adult roles, like in Tom Ford's A Single Man. One key to his staying grounded? A breather. After his big part in About a Boy, he took a few years off from the business.

“It’s tricky around that age to find good roles, and fortunately I managed to stay in school and keep a balanced life,” he told the Daily Beast. “I wasn’t too swept up in the film world, and it’s important to have real-life experiences to play the characters you want to and treat them with respect.”

We'll be the first to give a standing ovation to child actors who have made it through the acting biz to Grownup Land — and sexier than ever, we might add.

He took his social media into his own hands

Nicholas finally decided enough was enough when it came to his impersonators on Twitter and recently joined the social media site to represent himself — and interact with fans.

"You know what?"he told Interview magazine. "That was actually part of the reason of doing it, is to try to stop people from faking me. People kept on telling me that people were kind of making me look a bit stupid on it. So I decided that maybe it was safer to have my own. It's such a strange thing to do, and I don't know how much spare time you have to do that, or what goes on in your head to decide that's what you want to do, but it's very odd."

We think he's doing more than OK so far. He has 53,839 followers as of press time, and one of his last tweets was almost sweetly insecure: "Thank you all for your questions. Sorry I couldn't answer all of them. Gotta go back to work. Hopefully we'll talk soon. x"

We'll be following you, Nicholas, don't worry!

Nicholas Hoult's relationship status

Nicholas certainly has impeccable taste in women: After meeting Oscar-nominated actress Jennifer Lawrence on the set of X-Men: First Class in 2011, the pair dated up until a few weeks ago. In part, Nicholas blames his difficult shooting schedule for the demise of the relationship:

“It’s tricky, because you’re all over the place,” he told the Daily Beast. “We were shooting Mad Max: Fury Road for seven months in Namibia, so you’re never really in one place, and when you are, they’re strange places that are difficult to get to. I wouldn’t change it, because you’re very fortunate to travel, meet new people and embark on these new experiences, but it’s not great for that side of things.”

When you're ready to settle down, Nicholas — or even if you're not — give us a call!

Meet
our new obsession

This hip rap/comedy/writing star has been rocking both the stand-up scene and the TV screen for years. But he brought his smooth-and-sexy oeuvre to a whole new audience on HBO's Girls this season, as one of Lena Dunham's love interests. More visibility equals more Donald to drool over!

Why we love him

An adorable smarty-pants with a talent for writing, rap, acting and stand-up, we can picture ourselves talking with Donald Glover at dinner... or getting way more intimate than mere chit-chat.

Donald Glover

Born: Sept. 25, 1983

Hometown: Edwards Air Force Base, California

Height: 5' 10"

He's funny as all get-out

After two red-hot episodes of Girls, America is getting to know Donald — but he's been working the comedy circuit for a while. He's been on NBC's Community since 2009 and is known for his killer stand-up comedy and his writing-room skills: He's written video shorts and penned stories for big-deal shows like 30 Rock. But he's also known for things like his ability to make crying funny .

"People think I was on 30 Rock and I got offered Community and I left,"he told the AV Club. "I had left 30 Rock already. Now looking back, I’m like, 'That was stupid.' It’s funny. I was like, 'I’m gonna do stand-up.' Leave this great job where I poop Emmys and go do stand-up, because I had fallen in love with stand-up, and I was like, 'I’m gonna do this. I love it. I’m going to work it every night and do stand-up.' But then I auditioned for this thing that they asked me to do, and I happened to get it."

We think everything turned out more than OK!

He's a lyrical gangsta

Childish Gambino

With the stage name "Childish Gambino" , the Don has a foothold in the music industry as well as the TV and stand-up world. But his brand of rap isn't exactly run of the mill: He's been known in the past for being self-deprecating as an artist , and his music makes references to cultural icons like classic film directors such as François Truffaut. He once said he fancies himself a "Woody Allen-esque rapper" just trying to make sense of the world.

"Everybody is kind of a kid,"he told NPR. "I personally don't believe people really grow. They just learn stuff when they were a kid, and hold on to it, and that affects every relationship they have. So the album is about learning the good stuff and taking away the good stuff, and continuing to grow — as opposed to staying 12 years old forever with relationships, which sometimes I feel like I still am."

We feel like we are too occasionally, Donald.

If you really want a woman to like you,
just be really good
at something.

He's so hot right now

Cuter-than-cute baby face aside, making a cameo on Girls immediately puts you on the hot list these days, especially when you're filmed in flagrante delicto with Lena Dunham herself, playing Hannah Horvath's Republican love interest, Sandy. And Lena herself is on the bandwagon too:

"We always wanted to work with Donald — he’s the cutest and the funniest, and why would you not want to kiss him on TV?"she told Vulture.

Note to self: Write award-winning TV show so we can cozy up to Donald...

Donald Glover's relationship status:

In the past, Donald has been linked with DJ So Super Sam, rapper Angel Haze and even his Community co-star Alison Brie. We're not sure who he's seeing exclusively now, but, as he told British GQ, he's got the inside scoop on how to impress a woman, courtesy of one of the most impressive women in the business:

"Tina Fey told me, 'If you really want a woman to like you, just be really good at something.' The love, care and the focus you have on one thing is attractive, because women then think, 'I can be that thing.' It's true — how do you think magicians get women?"

Don't worry: You've got us already, Donald!
